How it works
What happens when HubSpot is connected
When a booking is confirmed, Setupp searches your contacts for the booker's email address. An existing contact is patched; a new one is created. That order matters, because HubSpot has no upsert-by-email, and creating blind returns a 409 on an existing address that a naive integration reads as success while silently losing the update.
The contact gets the standard fields (email, name, company) plus anything you have mapped from your intake form onto your own HubSpot properties. The mapping is per connection, because property names belong to your portal rather than to Setupp.
A note is attached carrying the Setupp Score, its reasoning and the non-private answers, labelled with the questions as you wrote them. It is written as a separate call so that a mapping naming a property that does not exist costs you the properties, not the record of the booking.
Setupp writes contacts and notes. It does not create deals, move pipeline stages or touch companies. Those are decisions about your sales process, and getting one wrong writes junk into the system your forecast comes from.
